WKWSCI Reception 2025: Event Highlights
On 10 May 2025, the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information (WKWSCI) hosted a reception where guests discovered what makes our school a vibrant and unique place to learn and grow.

The event opened with a welcome address from Professor Jack Qiu, Chair of WKWSCI, who spoke about our commitment to academic excellence, strong industry partnerships, a close-knit community, and our global alumni network. Professor Kay Kim, Associate Chair (Academic), then provided an overview of the four-year undergraduate experience, highlighting foundational courses, hands-on projects, and global learning opportunities.
Attendees also heard inspiring stories from our community. Leena Gan (Class of 2025) shared her personal journey of growing into her potential and exploring her passions at WKWSCI, while Audrey Wan (Class of 2024), now a reporter at Bloomberg News, reflected on how her WKWSCI education prepared her for a career in the media industry.

A dynamic Q&A session followed, featuring faculty members Prof Edson Tandoc, Ms Nikki Draper, and Ms Karen Ho, moderated by Associate Professor Benjamin (Benjy) Li. The panel addressed questions on academic pathways, student life, and preparing for the evolving communications landscape.
The reception concluded with a networking lunch, giving guests the opportunity to connect with faculty and students and experience the warmth of the WKWSCI community.
